Choosing a Lens Color

Light conditions are constantly changing. To get the most out of Costa Lenses, it's important to choose the right color. Costa offers seven lens colors that range from low-light like dawn to extremely bright light with blinding glare.

For offshore, blue mirror is the way to go. For freshwater and inshore, green mirror and copper are great options. For low light at dawn or dusk, sunrise silver mirror is perfect. Gray lenses are the best choice for everyday activities. Of course, the best way for you to decide is to consider your environment.

COSTA POLARIZED LENSES VS.
STANDARD POLARIZED LENSES

Polarized lenses are essential for anyone who spends time outdoors - especially on the water.
But, not all polarized sunglasses are created equal.

Costa Sunglass FAQs

Costa Del Mar sunglasses are proudly crafted in Florida, where the polarized lenses are made from premium materials like glass, polycarbonate, or CR-39. These lenses are fully polarized and provide complete protection against UVA, UVB, and UVC rays. While most of the sunglass frames are assembled within the United States, they also incorporate components from around the globe, including Japan, Italy, France, Mauritius, China, and Taiwan.

Costa sunglasses aren't designed to float on their own. However, you can use a floating leash or cord to ensure they stay afloat if they happen to fall into the water during activities like fishing, boating, or exploring. Additionally, some Costa models, such as the Cat Cay, feature temple holes where you can attach a retaining strap. Costa also offers retainers specifically designed to keep your sunglasses secure and in place while you're outdoors.

No. The manufacturer limited warranty for Costa sunglasses is 2 years. "For any non-prescription sunglasses bought on or after November 3, 2022, that develop a manufacturing defect* in materials or workmanship within two years of the purchase date, Costa will either repair or replace them (with an identical or comparable style at our discretion) free of charge. To file a warranty claim for manufacturing defects, proof of purchase will be required."

Every Costa lens is polarized, effectively reducing glare, which is particularly beneficial when you're on the water. In addition to polarization, Costa lenses protect your eyes from the sun's harmful rays, improving your overall visual experience. The designers behind Costa sunglasses recognize that light conditions are always shifting
